This role is based in Brussels, within a structured organisation operating in a demanding environment in terms of accounting, tax and compliance.
The accounting function plays a central role, with direct responsibility for the reliability of financial information, tax compliance and interaction with management and external stakeholders.
Role and key responsibilities in accounting, tax and leadership
* Oversee the full accounting scope to ensure accurate, timely and compliant closings, providing management with confidence in the numbers.
* Manage tax and regulatory obligations, bringing clarity, anticipation and risk control to the organisation.
* Lead and develop a team of at least 2 FTEs, creating structure, accountability and professional growth.
* Act as the main point of contact for auditors, tax advisors and external partners, representing the function with credibility.
* Drive improvements in accounting processes and internal controls to strengthen financial quality and governance.
Your background and experience in accounting and tax
* Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, tax, audit or a related finance role.
* Proven ability to lead and coordinate a team, with experience managing at least 2 FTEs.
* Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
* Experience within fiduciary or insurance is a plus

* Gross annual salary between €75,000 and €95,000, depending on experience and managerial scope.
