In a world that never stands still – where the nature of risk is constantly evolving and the needs of your customers are continually changing – you need a partner that turns challenges into possibilities and possibilities into opportunities.brPlease double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.brA specialty insurer and reinsurer that elevates beyond the standard solutions.brJob descriptionbrJob Description: Aviation Claims HandlerbrHow does this role contribute to our collective success?brAXIS is a multinational insurance company with a focus on aviation insurance.brFor our Claims Department we are looking for a passionate aviation claims handler to handle a variety of losses located here and across the world.brA high quality of claims handling is critical to AXIS’ reputation and is a key differentiating factor for us in the highly competitive insurance markets.brYou will have a unique role and as a claims handler contribute directly to AXIS’ performance in this area and will be very visible in the team.brWhat will you do in this role?brYou will mainly be responsible for the examination and resolving of claims and accurately administer file reserves and payments.brYou will deal with our different local and international insureds in the aviation sector (private owners, commercial operators, manufacturers, ground handlers, flying clubs etc.) through surveyors, lawyers and brokers.brIn your job you will concentrate on the following tasks:brHandling Hull and Liability claims (material damages to planes, personal injuries, third party damages)brAssessing the general liability, passenger liability, corporate, product liability of insureds in connection with losses.brEnsuring the timely resolution of claims in coordination with involved partiesbrVerifying and analysing expert and legal reportsbrMaintaining, updating and following up on claims filesbrPro-actively communicating developments and outcomes to all key internal and external stakeholdersbrInitiating claims paymentbrEnsuring overall satisfaction of the broker and client and a fair claim settlementbrYou may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.brProfilebrAbout You:brWe encourage you to bring your own experience and expertise to the table, so while there are some qualifications and experiences, we need you to have, we are open to discussing how your individual knowledge might lend itself to fulfilling this role and help us achieve our goals.brWhat you need to have:brStrong interest in aviation and a desire to learn about the sectorbrLanguages: Dutch, English, French (CEFR Level C)brPersonal characteristics:brExcellent administration skills, attention to policy coverage, structure detailbrLikes to communicate and present arguments to clients and brokers preciselybrAble to prioritise be organisedbrProfessional with a service-minded attitudebrWhat we prefer you to have:brEducation: Legal degree, Insurance degree, or job relevant degreebrCareer level: Some existing experience in a claims department (non-life), in an insurance company, or brokerage firmbrGerman proficiency and strong English proficiency would be an assetbrOfferbrRole Factors:brIn this role, you will receive in-house training.brYou will be required to work some days per week in our Brussels office.brYou will be based in our new, hybrid and highly modern workplace. xirbnpk brWhat we offer:brYou will be eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package which includes medical plans covering you and your family, health and wellness programs, retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, additional time-off and wellbeing days beside annual leave, and much more.
