In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating technical activities on-site for our client Engie, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with standards. You will primarily work at the Namur site but should be flexible to support other locations in Antwerp and Hasselt when needed. You have a good knowledge of French and English and preferable Dutch conversational level, but is a plus.
About the Role:
As a CBRE Technical Associate, you will play a pivotal role in suppor?ng and enhancing engineering opera?ons. You will work closely with a team of technicians, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure the smooth func?oning of building systems and machinery.
What You'll Do
Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Review work orders and resolve escalated issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
Consult with key clients to schedule preventive maintenance and downtime to minimize business interruption.
Assist in implementing a preventive maintenance program to ensure building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
Inspect work performed by junior staff, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
Confirm that work is complete, equipment is fully functional, and client space is in prime working condition.
Respond promptly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
Recognize and solve typical and atypical problems without supervisory approval.
Evaluate and select solutions from established options, ensuring optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of services.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering continuous improvement.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns professionally.
What You'll Need
High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Certifications/licenses as required by local or state jurisdictions.
Ability to meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs or more.
Solid understanding of work routines, standards, and application of skills across processes and systems.
Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to select solutions independently.
Ability to explain detailed and complex information clearly within the team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
General math skills, including calculating percentages, discounts, and markups.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
