Your new role As Accountant Corporate Accounting, you report to the Accounting Manager and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes across multiple entities. Your responsibilities include:
1. Managing general ledger activities including account allocation and reconciliations
2. Preparing intercompany transactions and recharges across different entities
3. Handling cash-related activities and supporting treasury-related processes
4. Ensuring accurate recording of revenues and expenses in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP
5. Preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly closings (accruals, prepayments, reconciliations)
6. Monitoring and analyzing account fluctuations and resolving discrepancies
7. Supporting VAT processes and real estate tax accounting
8. Preparing financial statements and management reporting
9. Assisting in budget and forecast processes
10. Supporting payroll accounting in collaboration with the Payroll Manager
11. Contributing to audits (internal and external) and ensuring compliance with deadlines
Your profile
You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance or economics and you bring 2 to 3 years of experience in General Ledger accounting. In addition, you have:
12. A solid knowledge of VAT and local GAAP; exposure to IFRS is a plus
13. Experience in a multi-country or international environment is an asset
14. A background in services or retail sector is preferred
15. Fluent in English and French; Dutch or German is a strong plus
16. Strong Excel skills and good knowledge of Microsoft tools; SAP S/4HANA is an asset
17. An analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
18. A proactive, hands-on and solution-oriented approach
19. The ability to work independently while being a strong team player
20. An interest in systems, process improvements and continuous learning
