HYTE is retained by a fast-growing, venture-backed advanced engineering company to appoint a Certification Lead into a critical technical leadership posi
tion.
This role will sit at the forefront of advanced aerospace certification, supporting the development, certification and continued airworthiness of next-generation propulsion, power distribution and energy storage technologies for aviation applica
tions.
The successful individual will provide technical leadership across certification strategy, regulatory engagement, airworthiness compliance and continued operational safety, working closely with engineering, programme and executive leadership
teams.

Lead certification and airworthiness activities across multiple aerospace development
* programmesDevelop certification strategies, certification plans and means of compliance in alignment with regulatory re

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a relate
* d disciplineSignificant experience within aerospace certification, airworthiness or compliance engineering
* environmentsDirect experience supporting or leading aircraft, propulsion system, engine, powerplant or major aerospace certificatio
* n programmesExperience working directly with EASA, FAA or equivalent aviation
* authoritiesStrong understanding of certification frameworks including Type Certification, Validation, STCs and continued airworthiness
* requirementsExperience preparing and reviewing certification documentation including FHA, FMEA, SSA, compliance reports and qualification d
* ocumentationAbility to understand complex engineering systems and identify potential failure modes and certifi
* cation risksExperience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams including systems, hardware, software and safety
* disciplinesStrong communication skills and confidence engaging with regulatory authorities, customers and senior
* stakeholdersExperience as a DER, DOA Unit Member or equivalent certification authority representative would be highly
