You will shape the evolution of a complex public-sector IT landscape by designing modern, scalable solutions aligned with business needs. You guide development teams, translate functional requirements into robust architectures, and steer the transition from on‑premise systems to a future‑proof cloud environment.
This role sits at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and strategy. You ensure coherence across applications and platforms, promote architectural standards, and help the organisation make informed decisions on cloud adoption and modernization.
What You'll Do
Define and maintain the target architecture across applications, integration patterns, and infrastructure.
Translate business needs into clear, pragmatic architectural solutions that fit the broader enterprise landscape.
Support development teams throughout design, development, integration, and deployment.
Identify architectural risks and propose improvements for stability, security, and efficiency.
Guide the organisation in migrating legacy on‑prem systems toward a secure and scalable public cloud environment.
Establish architectural principles, patterns, and governance practices (API design, event‑driven architecture, cloud standards...).
Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and engineering teams to ensure alignment and consistency.
Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks and advise leadership on adoption.
Produce architecture documentation, diagrams, and roadmaps using appropriate frameworks and tooling.
Contribute to solution reviews and ensure compliance with architectural guidelines and non-functional requirements.
What are we looking for?
You have significant experience in IT architecture.
You possess expert‑level skills in .NET Core.
You are knowledgeable in .NET framework 6 and higher.
You are familiar with architecture frameworks and tools like Togaf and Sparx EA.
You are a clear communicator and collaborator.
You demonstrate strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
You hold expertise in Ms Azure DevOps.
You are familiar with Scaled Agile Framework.
You have working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services.
You have experience with Ms SQL Server and Azure SQL.
You possess active knowledge in Dutch and are proficient in French.
