Job Description
As a Procurement Expert your responsibilities are:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing.
* Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms.
* Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure compliance with agreements.
* Collaborate with internal departments to forecast procurement needs and manage inventory levels.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.
* Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
* Prepare and present procurement reports for management review.
Remark: This role includes travelling in Europe to manufacturing sites, suppliers and fairs (max 2-3 days in a row, +- 20% of your agenda).
The Successful Applicant
A successful Procurement Expert should have:
* Educational background in procurement or a related field.
* Proven knowledge of procurement practices within the manufacturing industry.
* Solid negotiation and contract management skills.
* Ability to travel in Europe to manufacturing sites, suppliers and fairs (max 2-3 days in a row, +- 20% of your agenda).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
