PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Design software components and implement them Optional role: Software Development Manager Ensure QCD management on software development activities ORGANIZATION: Development Center (DC) or Regional Center (RC) Reports directly to: DC/RC Software Métier Manager/Leader ACCOUNTABILITIES & AUTHORITIES: Contribute to the elaboration of the software specification & architecture, in collaboration with the software architect Develop software components: Perform the software components detailed design & coding Set up the software development tool chain Specify, design, prepare and perform tests and verifications of his / her deliverables Put software work products under configuration management Support software / software integration, together with the other software designers Support hardware / software integration, together with the hardware designers Sustain the software Keep informed of the evolution of technologies through techno watch Contribute to standardization by reusing existing solutions or by implementing reusable solutions, including COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) Apply processes and standards Contribute to continuous improvement (RoE: Return on Experience, process, …) If Software Development Manager (optional) Produce and follow up the WP (Work Package) file (QCD commitments) for the whole software development Define the management plans for software development Define the software project management plan Contribute to the definition of the software engineering management plan together with the software architect QUALIFICATION & COMPETENCIES - EXPECTED LEVEL Education requirements: Engineer Degree or Master Degree Experience: Mandatory: Software development Desirable: Railway software development, Vital or secure software development Language skills: Good level in the French and English language (written, spoken). German is an asset.
