Your team will be tasked to build up from scratch and maintaining a new IoT Platform.
The initial phase will prioritize the design and implementation of the foundational infrastructure, followed by a second phase centered on ongoing development and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take the helm in designing and evolving the architecture for our cutting-edge, next-generation IoT platform.
* Expertly evaluate and integrate cloud-based IoT services (Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc.)
* Champion and execute critical proof-of-concept implementations to definitively validate our architectural choices.
* Forge close partnerships with diverse stakeholders, translating complex business and operational needs into elegant, actionable technical solutions.
* Foster a culture of engineering excellence, mentoring your team members in advanced, IoT-specific development methodologies.
Your role will be a dynamic mix between providing expert guidance and empowering your developers and the impactful and hands-on development.
Requirements:
* Experience of demonstrated success in planning and executing sophisticated IoT platforms.
* Significant hands-on experience in the architectural design of intricate IoT systems.
* Profound expertise in cloud platforms and their associated IoT services (Azure IoT Hub, AWS IoT Core, etc.).
* Extensive practical experience with key messaging protocols (MQTT, AMQP, HTTP) and streamlined device provisioning workflows.
* A strong command of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
* Exceptional programming prowess in languages like Python or Golang, though Java and TypeScript are also highly valued.
* Outstanding English communication abilities, because you will interact daily with our Product Owner and Delivery Manager based in Hamburg.
