Product Owner
As Product Owner, you select, detail and clarify items from the speos central backlog to constitute the team backlog in alignment with relevant stakeholders and according to the needs and priorities defined by demand stakeholders; act as a key link between demand stakeholders and the development team in view of delivering the product vision and goals.
Manage, follow-up on the team backlog and lead (functionally) his/her product team to ensure short to mid-term development and implementation activities in line with the business needs.
Your responsibilities
As Product Owner, your responsibilities include:
Functional product team management
* Lead and Inspire the Team: Build, lead, and motivate a multidisciplinary team, acting as a servant leader by empowering the team members, listening to and acting upon their needs and fostering a culture of collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Set Sprint Goals: Establish clear goals for the team in each sprint, aligning them with the organization's mission and product vision to ensure proper delivery of the backlog user stories.
* Promote Inclusivity: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, encouraging open communication and collaboration
* Conflict Resolution: Facilitate resolution of any interpersonal conflicts or challenges within the team to maintain a productive working environment.
Technical Expertise and Product delivery
* User Story Development: Translate high-level product concepts into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that are clear and actionable for the development team in order to create a qualitative team backlog.
* Team Backlog Management: Maintain the team backlog, ensuring it reflects the priorities from the speos central backlog and maximizing the value brought to speos.
* Backlog Accountability: Ensure that all stories are estimated by the team in a qualitative and reliable way and establish improvement cycles with the team to improve the quality of the team backlog.
* Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to define acceptance tests and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the product meets quality standards
* Delivery Content Accountability: Validate user stories delivered by the team to ensure that they meet the business needs, potentially including the release management and the documentation
Collaboration & Communication
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, other Product Owners and end-users to understand their needs, gather requirements, communicate progress and manage expectations.
* Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, IT QA testers, and other Product Owners, to ensure alignment and share best practices.
* Facilitate Meetings: Organize and prepare the content of sprint planning, and sprint reviews, ensuring productive and efficient meetings.
* Requirement Clarification: Provide clarifications on requirements and user stories to the development team, ensuring a shared understanding of what needs to be delivered.
* Feedback Integration: Gather feedback from stakeholders and users, integrating it into the backlog.
Coaching & Training
* Agile and Scrum Practices: Promote and implement Agile and Scrum values within the team to continuously develop the team and improve efficiency and performance.
* Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends, market evolutions, and best practices to make informed product decisions.
* Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization within the team and work to implement changes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Your profile
As Product Owner, you bring:
* Minimum 3- or 4-years’ experience as Product Owner, Business / Functional Analyst or IT Project Manager is a must
* Computer Science or Business degree or equivalent by experience
* Experience in modeling tools translating business needs into IT technical requirements is a must
* Ideally experience in Saas development in Agile environment
* Understanding in API (Rest, Graph), AWS, AI etc. is a strong asset
* Fluent in French or Dutch and English
