Context
We are seeking a reliable and results-driven Credit Administrator to join our finance team full time. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, following up on outstanding debts, and ensuring timely collection of payments while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Contact customers to follow up on overdue accounts via phone, email, or written correspondence
* Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing issues professionally
* Maintain accurate records of all collection activities
* Monitor customer accounts and aging reports
* Escalate difficult or high-risk accounts when necessary
* Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws
* Strong team player with the ability to collaborate closely and effectively across departments (finance and engagement team) to resolve account disputes and contribute to shared goals
* Booking daily bank movements (AR)
Requirements & Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Credit Collector, Debt Collector, or similar role
* Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally
* Good organizational and record-keeping skills
* Basic knowledge of accounting principles
* Proficiency in MS Office and accounting/ERP systems
* High level of integrity and attention to detail
Bonus Qualifications
* Certificate or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or related field
* Experience of minimal 3 years in same or similar role
* Fluent in Dutch, French and English both speaking as in writing
* Experience in judicial collection
