Multinational FMCG company requires a leader to manage the operations of its manufacturing site in Valencia, with more than 180 employees.
Reporting to the Group Operations Director, this role will take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day performance of a fully integrated production facility. The position provides leadership across all operational areas, including manufacturing, engineering, health & safety, logistics, and regulatory compliance. A central objective is to uphold a safe, efficient, and high‑quality production environment that meets both internal standards and industry regulations.
Main Responsibilities
* Own the plant’s P&L, ensuring operational performance meets budget expectations and broader business goals.
* Lead the development of budgets, forecasts, and production schedules, while coordinating closely with customer supply chain teams.
* Guarantee that products are delivered on time and consistently meet defined quality requirements.
* Champion initiatives focused on cost optimization, continuous improvement, and a strong culture of safety.
* Oversee maintenance activities and material‑handling operations.
* Manage capital expenditure plans and drive key operational projects.
* Monitor performance metrics to support long‑term strategic objectives.
* Cultivate a collaborative, transparent, and positive work environment across all teams.
Candidate Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering; postgraduate studies in operations or industrial fields will be considered a strong plus.
* Minimum of 8 years’ experience leading operations in manufacturing settings within food production industry.
* Experience leading important transformations in manufacturing plants is a must.
* Solid knowledge of production processes and a strong orientation toward continuous process improvement.
* Proactive, solutions‑driven mindset with the ability to handle conflict constructively and encourage innovative problem-solving.
* Strategic thinker with the agility to operate effectively in rapidly evolving environments.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire teams.
