Get to know your team and responsibilities
Within Electronics division, ADAS group oversees the development and evaluation of future ADAS functions (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) focusing on customer comfort and safety. These systems use various sensor technologies such as camera, radar, and ultrasonic devices.
Your project
As intern, you will contribute to improving the efficiency of camera‑based ADAS function evaluation and accelerate validation by:
* Analyzing current procedures of ADAS function evaluation
* Researching state‑of‑the‑art procedures and toolchains for ADAS evaluation
* Setting up new equipment and prototypes for camera recognition performance assessment
* Setting up new procedures and toolchains to further increase test automation
Who are we looking for?
Your profile
* You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
* You are enrolled in a master’s in computer science (embedded software), electronics engineering, automotive engineering
* You have already demonstrated programming skills in past projects (Python, C++, Matlab/Simulink…) MUST
* You have experience in simulation software for virtual testing (e.g., IPG CarMaker, dSpace simulation tool suite, CARLA…) NICE TO HAVE
* You can demonstrate some proficiency in automotive camera sensor technologies and/or computer vision (OpenCV) and machine learning NICE TO HAVE
* You have (or you are willing to develop) a good understanding of software V-cycle (esp. V&V, validation process)
* You have (or you are willing to develop) a good understanding of validation process.
* You have a strong interest in automotive and electronics systems.

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.
It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
