Within the signalling design platform unit, we are looking for a Senior Java Expert to join an Agile team of Java and Angular specialists. You will contribute to the design and implementation of an innovative platform built on modern microservices principles.
This role requires both technical excellence and a strong business mindset, with a focus on quality, security, and compliance with industry standards.
Main Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain applications based on a microservices architecture.
Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure alignment with cybersecurity principles.
Collaborate proactively in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure a user-oriented and value-driven approach.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 (quality), EN 50128 (signalling), and ISO 27001 / NIS (information security) standards.
Maintain rigorous technical documentation to support audits and quality monitoring.
Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
Profile / Requirements :
Languages
French and/or Dutch: C2 – full professional proficiency
English: C1 – professional working proficiency
Technical Expertise
Minimum 10 years of experience in Java development
At least one project using Java 21
At least 5 years of experience with relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle)
Minimum 2 years with Spring Boot and Spring Data
Minimum 2 years with microservices architecture and web services (REST API, JSON)
At least 5 years of experience with JPA and Hibernate
10 years of experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit 5, Mockito, PowerMock)
Minimum 2 years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
10 years of experience using Maven for build and dependency management
At least one project involving OpenShift and/or Kubernetes
Minimum 2 years of experience with Liquibase and/or Flyway
Minimum 2 years with Git and GitLab version control systems
Solid knowledge of design patterns and software architecture principles
