We are looking for a Senior Solution Designer to join the CCoE within ICT Design & Integration. In this role, you will help design and evolve a secure, scalable, and reliable Azure-based cloud foundation for a large enterprise environment in the energy sector.
You will act as a key bridge between governance, platform teams, and product teams, ensuring that cloud architecture, design decisions, and implementations align with organisational standards and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and evolve a secure and scalable Azure cloud platform
* Define and implement cloud governance policies, including EPAC
* Create solution designs in collaboration with product and application teams
* Provide technical coordination across multiple projects
* Continuously improve internal cloud services and platform capabilities
* Review and challenge designs from external vendors and outsourcing partners
* Ensure proper integration across cloud services and platforms
* Design and implement cost allocation models (FinOps)
* Support product teams with budgeting, cost governance, and Azure cost visibility
* Manage Azure reservations, savings plans, and cost optimisation initiatives
* Investigate and analyse cost anomalies and inefficiencies
Required Experience & Skills
* Minimum 5 years' experience as Infrastructure Architect or Solution Designer
* Experience in large enterprise environments (> 5000 users)
* Strong experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies
* Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure architecture, design, and implementation
* Experience with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
* Experience with Azure Governance frameworks
* Experience with Azure Bicep
* Experience with Azure FinOps practices
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Fluent in English (CEFR C2)
* Fluent in Dutch (CEFR C2)
Nice to Have
* Experience in the Belgian energy sector
* Experience with API management (± 3 years)
* Experience with Sparx EA / enterprise architecture tooling
* FinOps certification
* Broad infrastructure architecture experience in complex environments

Work Environment
