Staff / Senior Software Engineer – 5G User Equipment (UE)
As part of our RnD SW Team, you will design, implement, and optimize software for our next-generation 5G FWA Residential Gateways, ensuring high performance, reliability, and compliance with 3GPP standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver cutting-edge solutions for our 5G FWA products.
Key Responsibilites
* Design. develop and maintain software for 5G FWA Residential Gateways, including connection manager, modem firmware, and application layers.
* Implement and test 5G NR features, ensuring compliance with 3GPP specifications.
* Debug and resolve complex issues in real-time embedded systems.
* Collaborate with hardware, RF, and system engineers to integrate and validate 5G FWA solutions.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of our 5G FWA Residential Gateways and tools.
Required Education And Experience
* Master's degree in Software Engineering, Electronics, or another related relevant field,
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in 5G UE devices software development.
* Proficiency in C, lua, scripting, embedded systems, and Linux operating systems.
* Deep understanding of 3GPP 5G NR standards, protocol stacks (L1/L2/L3), and PHY/MAC layers.
* Experience with modem firmware, RF interfaces, and over-the-air (OTA) testing.
* Experience with OpenWRT and/or RDK-B
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills
* Knowledge of wireless technologies, TCP/IP, routing, Residential Gateways
* Experience with lua, C, scripting languages, Linux OS, and version control systems (Git, gerrit).
* Experience with Qualcomm and/or Mediatek chipsets and their eco-system
* Familiarity with CI/DevOps pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills. Team player.
