Elicio, part of the Nethys group, is a major Belgian renewable energy company. Elicio is focused on the development, engineering, financing, construction and operation of wind energy power plants. The group currently has over 630MW operational capacity across Belgium, France and Serbia, and holds an important development pipeline in multiple European countries. Moreover, Elicio is an important player in the offshore wind industry as a shareholder in operational projects in the Belgian North Sea and a developer of two concessions in France and Scotland.
Elicio is looking for a motivated Business Controller to play a key role in its Finance team.
Profile
The Business Controller plays an important role in the review, analysis, forecasting and reporting of the business and financial performance of Elicio and its subsidiaries. The candidate will be part of a highly knowledgeable and driven international team of controllers, accountants, payment administrators and tax experts. The Business Controller will take ownership of the entrusted responsibilities and will report to management on a regular basis.
Main responsibilities include:
* Quarterly controlling of project specific companies
* Coordinating the budgeting process for revenues, costs and cash flows.
* Planning of the budgeting of revenues, costs & cash flows
* Preparing quarterly reporting towards management and shareholders
* Expert user of ERP tools, e.g. Business Central with interface to Power BI, responsible for overseeing and maintaining master data governance and quality
* Long term forecasting of group financials (P&L, BS & CF)
* Participating in distribution calculations and covenant reporting towards lenders
* Leading ad hoc internal projects: updates to ERP tools, automatization opportunities, etc.
Qualifications & experience
* The Business Controller has a relevant Master Degree with a minimum of 5 years direct work experience in audit/controlling, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Strong preference for candidate with in-depth knowledge of and hands-on experience with ERP systems
* Professional experience in working in a project finance environment, and/or in the energy sector is considered a plus
