The Regulatory Affairs Manager monitors and interpret policy, regulation and market rules to keep projects and operations compliant. He/she will advise senior management on regulatory risk and strategy, by representing the company´s interests in all relevant decision-making forums.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Monitor and interpret laws, regulations, market rules and policy instruments that affect renewable generation, storage and associated infrastructure (national, regional and local).
* Lead the regulatory team within the company, and guarantee correct and fluent communication of updates and their consequences to the management team, as well as the affected team members.
* Continuous dialogue with HQ to communicate regulatory changes in Spain, their impact on the company, and the company's position or opinion during public consultations.
* Manage interaction with regulators, market operators, and associations; represent the company in consultations, hearings and rulemaking.
* Actively participate in public consultation periods for regulatory changes, representing the company's interests.
* Represent the company's interests in various associations for potential communications or defense of common interests.
* Actively contribute to working groups of associations for the preparation of allegations. Lead advocacy and policy engagement to shape renewable energy policy and market rules in the company’s interest.
* Represent the company at industry events, institutional events, meetings with public and private institutions and associations.
* Primary contact for all internal and external stakeholders.
Your profile:
* University degree in the field of renewable energies, electrical, or industrial engineering/ University degree in the field of Law with specific additional specialization on energy.
* 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in a business unit within the field of renewable energies, or in a law firm with focus on the energy sector.
* Used to represent the company´s interests and able to make impact within different environments.
* Experience in coordinating interdisciplinary teams.
* Experienced handling of MS Office.
* Good knowledge of English.
