For a company in the industrial sector in Beerse, we're looking for an Accountant - Controller. This company value accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement in a pragmatic and hands-on working environment.
Responsibilities as Accountant-Controller:
Accounting:
* Process bank statements and payroll entries
* Prepare VAT and intra-community VAT filings (for review and submission)
* Maintain customer and supplier master data
* Reconcile general ledger accounts
* Support timely monthly and annual closings, including accruals and allocations
* Monitor depreciation tables, inventory adjustments, and intercompany balances
* Prepare audit documentation and liaise with external auditors
* Act as backup for finance team members and support ad-hoc finance tasks
Controlling:
* Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable collections for EMEA entities
* Support weekly and monthly management reporting (AR, AP, cash flow, financial results)
* Assist in budget and forecast preparation
* Perform variance analyses and highlight risks and improvement opportunities
* Identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
* Perform ad-hoc controlling activities when required
The ideal profile of the Accountant-Controller:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
* Working knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central (Finance)
* Accurate, proactive, and hands-on working style
* Well-organized with the ability to manage priorities independently
* Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment
* Strong analytical skills with attention to both overview and detail
* Excellent communication skills with high ethical and confidentiality standards
* Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
* Team player with the ability to coach and support colleagues on finance-related topics
