Responsabilities
As part of the activities of the Department of Biology, the person hired must:
* Provide practical work, tutorials and field internships (1st cycle and 2nd cycle) which may include topics such as physiology, genomics, transcriptomics, ecology, molecular ecology, and population genetics.
* Actively collaborate in the technical and scientific management of the research unit
* Conduct research leading to a PhD in genomics, evolution/co-evolution, population genetics, parasitology, or physiology of aquatic invertebrates.
* Participate in events and the organization of the Dennis Lab ), the Research Unit (URBE), the Biology department, and the research institute (ILEE- ).
Profile
Those who apply need to hold a master's degree in biological sciences, in bioinformatics, or any other diploma deemed equivalent, on the starting date. The skills and qualities required are as follows:
* Experience in genomics, metabarcoding and/or evolutionary analyses in non-model organisms.
* Experience in the molecular lab (DNA and RNA extraction, etc.)
* Familiarity with R and Linux computational environments.
* Show a marked interest in teaching.
* Show a particular interest in adaptive evolution and genomics.
* Ability and motivation to integrate into a teaching and research team.
* Have excellent communication skills in both French and English.
* Autonomy and organization.
