Role Summary
Responsible for carrying out vehicle dynamics advanced simulation activities to support attributes development programs.
Responsibilities
* Build chassis and complete vehicle models;
* Perform virtual simulations to evaluate suspension kinematics & compliance and complete vehicle handling & ride comfort;
* Optimise chassis parameters in order to meet performance targets;
* Prepare/write project reports;
* Presentation of project results and support decision making;
* Client communication and reporting.
Technical qualifications
* B. S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* 1-3 years of experience in automotive chassis development with a focus on Vehicle Dynamics
* Knowledge of vehicle dynamics theory and contributions from individual components (hardpoints, steering, springs, bars, dampers, tires, bushings, etc.) to suspension K&C and full-vehicle performance.
* Basic understanding of the performance development process, from target setting and target cascading to validation and sign-off.
* Vehicle dynamics simulation experience with multi-body (ADAMS) and/or lookup tables-based models (VI-CarRealTime, IPG Carmaker, CarSim, etc).
* Data post-processing skills.
