What You’ll Be Doing Conducting in-depth functional and technical analyses of complex business processes within a mainframe context Translating business requirements into clear functional specifications and technical designs Performing impact and risk analyses on existing mainframe applications Analyzing incidents and driving structural, root-cause solutions Developing and adapting mainframe applications based on your analyses Coordinating closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and clarity Documenting analyses, decisions, and solutions in a structured and accessible manner Contributing ideas to simplify and optimize existing application logic Technical Skills Proven experience as an analyst developer in IBM mainframe environments Expertise in COBOL, DB2, and JCL Familiarity with z/OS environments Experience with both batch and online processing Strong analytical and conceptual skills Experience conducting impact and risk analyses on mainframe applications Knowledge of CICS is a strong plus Knowledge of Mega is a plus Language Proficiency Fluent Dutch is required Other Requirements Demonstrable ability to structure and document complex matters clearly Quality-oriented, precise, and able to work independently Excellent communication skills with both business and IT stakeholders Experience within a banking context is an advantage Hybrid work arrangement: 2 days per week working from home Location: Antwerp, Belgium Freelance assignment, 7 months duration, with a focus on analysis and substantive depth Ready to build the future with us?
