Vacatureomschrijving
The ELECTRO-MECHANICAL SITE SUPERVISOR/CONTRSCUTION MANAGER is responsible for the end-to-end execution on-site of the electro- mechanical scope of projects, including mounting of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment, piping systems, valves and metallic structures. The role ensures compliance with technical specifications, planning, budgetary constraints and quality standards (QA/QC).
This person reports to the Design Coordinator and the Project Manager / Construction Manager and works closely with internal disciplines, subcontractors and external partners to ensure full client satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
Design & Tendering phase
6. Follow up and coordinate design activities (3D modelling, consultants, clients, partners) for piping
7. Ensure compliance with specifications, schedules, constructability and maintainability
8. Identify piping clashes and coordinate technical solutions with civil works
9. Prepare and issue RFQs for piping and mechanical equipment
10. Follow up execution design (stress calculations, thermal expansion, supports) and QA/QC
11. Review equipment datasheets with equipment specialists
12. Evaluate technical and commercial offers and provide recommendations
13. Define final pricing and contribute to the project risk matrix
Procurement phase
14. Perform final compliance checks of selected suppliers
15. Prepare and negotiate purchase orders
16. Coordinate technical approvals
17. Issue final purchase orders
18. Follow up detailed engineering and fabrication
19. Attend FATs, issue reports and follow up corrective actions
Construction, start-up & commissioning phase
20. Follow up on-site deliveries and corrective actions
21. Supervise equipment installation
22. Ensure QA/QC compliance
23. Monitor PED directive compliance (welding, tests, pressure testing)
24. Issue and close non-conformities
25. Support start-up and commissioning
26. Monitor planning, budget, variations and claims
27. Coordinate with process, electrical, instrumentation and civil disciplines
Functie-eisen
Education & experience
28. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electro-mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
29. 5–10 years of experience in a similar environment
Technical skills
30. Solid knowledge of mechanical equipment and piping
31. Basic knowledge of hydraulics, electricity and instrumentation
32. Experience in water treatment is an asset
Soft skills
33. Strong communication and coordination skills
34. Commercial awareness
35. Managerial and people skills
36. Team player with hands-on mentality
Languages
37. Fluent in English, Dutch and French. The language skills are a must.
