Fohntech Group are looking for an Electrical Quality Inspector to join our team.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
1. Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight
* Implement and maintain the QMS in compliance with SOPs.
* Assist in the development of any project specific QA work procedures.
* Assist in the development of any project specific ITPs.
* Hold Quality Induction Workshops to promote awareness of the project specific requirements.
* Work closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams.
2. Inspection & Compliance
* Conduct and record surveillance / in progress inspections of all work carried out in on the project.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE), customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
* Conduct audits and inspections of electrical products and systems
3. Documentation & Reporting
* Prepare and verify quality documentation, including inspection reports and certifications.
* Conduct and record final inspections on all work carried out on the project.
4. Continuous Improvement
* Develop and monitor KPIs to drive quality improvements.
* Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects and failures.
* Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies to optimize processes.
Essential Criteria for the Role:
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems and standards.
* Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and KPI development.
* Experience with internal audits, corrective/preventive actions, and compliance documentation.
* Familiarity with calibration systems, test plans, and quality documentation.
Desirable Criteria:
* Attention to detail – critical for identifying defects and ensuring compliance.
* Effective communication – to liaise with production, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
* Problem-solving – proactive in identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
* Adaptability & continuous improvement mindset – driving innovation in QA processes.
