Based in Mechelen, SMA Benelux is a subsidiary of SMA Solar Technology. We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer for the Home & Business Solutions segment. This position will provide technical support for the preparation of quotations in the pre-design phase. She/he will offer both the account managers and the customers a direct answer to their technical questions and will play a central role in maintaining the relationship with the customer. The application engineer will provide training in the residential segment as part of our Solar Academy.
Main missions:
1. Support for customers for technical questions about existing or future products and/or services mainly in the residential segment.
2. Preparation of pre-design and material lists for drawing up quotations
3. Informing customers proactively about product changes
4. Maintain network technical contact points at customers
5. Building up knowledge about existing and new products and solutions
6. Internal contact point for product knowledge
7. Proactively communicate new items/innovations within the product portfolio for the BU Residential.
8. Offer support in the realization of residential projects (kick-off meeting, analysis of specifications, proposal, planning, etc.).
9. Provide training and support/back up for the Solar Academy training courses
10. Preparation of complex quotations
11. Management of technical files in SalesForce
Requirements
12. A master’s degree in Electro-technics, civil or industrial engineering or similar qualifications
13. Residing in Belgium
14. Minimum 2 years experience in a technical environment
15. Fluent in Dutch and English. Good knowledge of French, German is a plus
