Job Description We are looking for an
experienced sous-chef
specialized in Korean cuisine who will support our head chef in leading the kitchen with expertise, precision, and passion. The ideal candidate has experience in high-quality Korean restaurants and possesses thorough knowledge of traditional and modern Korean cooking techniques.
Core Responsibilities
Assist the head chef in preparing and executing all Korean dishes according to authentic recipes and modern techniques
Support daily kitchen operations during lunch and dinner service
Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and authentic flavor profiles
Help manage inventory, orders, and food quality according to HACCP standards
Contribute to the development of seasonal menus in collaboration with the head chef
Guide and coach kitchen staff
Apply fermentation techniques (kimchi and other vegetables)
Profiel Experience
Minimum 2 years work experience
in a renowned Korean restaurant
Experience with
complete Korean menu
Minimum 1 year experience
in a supervisory or coordinating role in a professional kitchen
Experience with
traditional Korean fermentation processes
(minimum 1 year)
Technical Skills
Good knowledge of classic
Korean cuisines (through times, historical and modern)
Proficiency in
traditional techniques : jang-??? (fermentation), jjim-? (steaming), gui-?? (grilling), jorim-?? (braising), muchim-?? (mixing)
Knowledge of
seasonal ingredients
and their application in Korean cuisine
Proficiency in
