You ensure the delivery of high-quality design outputs and drawing sets, while applying the standards, rules, and tools established within the design office.You will work on technically challenging projects involving complex mechanical assemblies, requiring precision, rigor, and a strong understanding of manufacturing constraints.Key responsibilitiesUnderstand and integrate the various technical constraints of a project and translate them into feasible mechanical designs that meet the required functionsDesign complex mechanical assemblies, including applications such as telescopes, space-related systems, vacuum environments, and other high-precision mechanical productsManage product structures in close collaboration with the project’s ELM engineerTake manufacturing processes into account to define the most efficient way to produce each part, and adapt designs according to manufacturing possibilitiesProduce complete drawing sets containing the technical information required for manufacturing, whether internally, in workshops, or through subcontractorsEnsure follow-up with subcontractors and support the manufacturing process when neededWrite integration procedures and carry out integration follow-upPrepare requests for quotations for mechanical partsReport work progress and remaining workload during Capa-Charge meetingsIdentify and report technical difficulties, conflicting requirements, or feasibility issues, while proposing concrete solutionsContribute to the continuous improvement and development of the design office by sharing constructive ideas and best practicesProfileYou hold a Bachelor’s degree as a Mechanical Draughtsman / Designer, or an Industrial Engineering degree with a specialization in mechanical or electromechanical engineeringYou have at least 3 years of experience in mechanical designYou have strong command of 3D design and technical drawing software, ideally CATIA V5You have knowledge of surface treatments and their impact on mechanical designYou are familiar with technical drawing, functional dimensioning, tolerancing, and dimensional budgetsYou are able to identify critical dimensions that must be verified through metrologyYou can design and implement layoutsYou know how to manage assemblies and product structures in CATIAYou are fluent in French, Knowledge of English is considered an assetExperience in subcontractor follow-up, manufacturing follow-up, or integration follow-up is a strong plusYour application will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, in accordance with the GDPR.
