Your work will be a cornerstone in the city’s journey toward digital transformation, supporting critical public services and strategic initiatives. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liCollaborate with BI colleagues to enhance and maintain a high‑performance, stable, and maintainable BI platform /li liDesign, develop, and optimise data warehouse models and schemas using SQL Server /li liDevelop and refine ETL/data integration pipelines, including SSIS packages, to consolidate data from SAP, Dynamics CRM, and external APIs /li liSupport the design and maintenance of reports, datasets, and dashboards for various city services, focusing on underlying data layers and integrations /li liContribute to Power BI governance, workspace management, deployment pipelines, and version control via GitHub Enterprise /li liMonitor and manage BI application jobs, ensuring reliability and performance /li liApply Agile development methodologies to deliver iterative improvements and foster collaboration /li liLeverage agentic development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude AI to accelerate and enhance development workflows /li /ul h3Technical Skills Experience /h3 ul liDemonstrable experience with data warehouse modelling (Medior level) /li liDemonstrable experience with Microsoft Fabric (Junior level) /li liStrong background in project‑oriented working and/or formal training in data warehouse modelling /li liHands‑on experience with planning, designing, and building data warehouse applications using tools such as Cognos or Datastage /li liProven expertise in testing ETL flows (Medior level) /li liExperience with BI application management and job monitoring (Medior level) /li liDemonstrable experience with GitHub Copilot or Claude AI /li liExperience with Power BI and Power BI Desktop /li liSolid understanding of data warehousing concepts, processes, and architectures /li liExperience building data warehouse components: data integration (ETL), reporting analysis (BI), databases, and metadata /li liFamiliarity with Agile development methodology /li liFluent Dutch speaker at European CEFR level C2 (required) /li /ul h3Other Requirements /h3 ul liAffinity for agentic development and AI‑assisted coding tools /li liAbility to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary BI team /li liStrong sense of ownership, problem‑solving mindset, and commitment to delivering impact /li liFreelance position based in Gent, Belgium, with a 13‑month initial duration (extension possible) /li liAssignment subject to indexation after each 12‑month period, in line with framework agreement /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
