Position
As Responsible for the Engineering Department, you drive the strategic technical vision, transforming organizational goals into a clear, actionable roadmap. This role ensures operational excellence and seamless cross-functional collaboration to maintain a solid competitive edge.
Your main responsibilities:
1. Strategically manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and managers within a matrix organization.
2. Translate corporate goals into a clear technical roadmap while ensuring projects meet high-quality standards.
3. Drive the transformation plan including make-or-buy strategies and KPI monitoring.
4. Optimize processes, governance, and tools based on design-oriented principles to increase organizational maturity.
5. Foster an inclusive, innovative, and learning-driven corporate culture focused on accountability and performance.
6. Deploy advanced technical methods and digital tools across the project lifecycle in collaboration with project management.
7. Manage capacity planning, succession mapping, talent development, and diversity initiatives within the department.
Profile
8. Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Optronics, Mechanics, Aeronautics) or an equivalent technical qualification.
9. 10 to 15 years of experience in a similar role within a technically challenging or highly regulated environment.
10. Deep understanding of complex systems, digital interfaces, and critical applications.
11. Proven ability to manage, mentor, and inspire high-performing, diverse, and intercultural teams.
12. Expertise in strategy deployment, cost estimation, risk management, and resource coordination under budget constraints.
13. Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and maintain a strategic perspective.
14. Full professional fluency in both English and French is mandatory.
