Hospitality Talents, a recruitment agency specialized in Hospitality profiles, is currently looking for an experienced and highly motivated Multi-Properties HR Director to join the team ofour client, a prestigious group of hotels in Belgium (based in Ghent).
We’re looking for a strong individual to oversee and elevate the HR functions of a portfolio of hotels in Belgium. This is an opportunity to drive strategic initiatives, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure compliance with Belgian labor laws while collaborating closely with a leading European headquarters.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead and Inspire HR Excellence
Develop and implement a forward-thinking HR strategy tailored to our Belgian hotels.
Provide expert guidance to hotel management teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee development, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
Be the Voice of Social Dialogue
Act as the key liaison for Works Councils, CPBW/CPPT, and trade union delegations.
Lead discussions, negotiations, and presentations to ensure open, transparent communication and foster a culture of mutual respect.
Stay ahead of labor law updates to keep operations compliant and seamless.
Champion Employee Engagement
Create initiatives to boost employee satisfaction and retention.
Resolve conflicts with professionalism, promoting a culture of transparency and trust.
Design and deliver bespoke training programs to unlock potential at every level.
Drive Performance and Reward Excellence
Oversee performance management processes, including feedback, recognition, and improvement plans.
Ensure competitive compensation structures that align with industry standards and drive motivation.
Lead the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Belgian regulations.
Bridge Local and Global Visions
Serve as the extended arm of the HQ, aligning local operations with global strategies.
Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership, highlighting successes and key opportunities.
Ensure Legal and Operational Compliance
Navigate the complexities of Belgian labor law with ease, ensuring full compliance with PC 302 Horeca regulations.
Prepare for and manage social inspections, audits, and regulatory changes.
Implement health and safety protocols to guarantee a secure environment for employees and guests.
Requirements
Proven HR leadership experience, ideally in the hospitality industry managing multiple locations.
Deep understanding of Belgian labor laws and social dialogue processes.
Expertise in payroll management and HR administration.
Exceptional communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
Fluency in Dutch and English (French is a strong plus).
A hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
