What you will work on The Technical Migration Consultant will join a (Ghent based) European Project Team, responsible for the successful & timely implementation of the UMAX solution at our customers’ premises. He/she is the link between Business and IT, on the subject of Data Migration (of master data, contracts, transactions etc.) UMAX is the brand name of our software solution for water and energy utilities. It automates their business processes and enables them to better engage with their customers. UMAX is a cloud-based solution, built on the powerful Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. UMAX integrates CRM, billing, invoicing, cash collection, meter data, asset and service management modules in one solution, offering utilities the tools & processes for effective sales, increased customer contribution margins, reduced lead times and streamlined operations. By doing so, it enables them to take operational performance and customer experience to higher levels, while cutting costs to serve. As our Technical Migration Consultant, you… • take ownership of data migration subjects in the project and interact with other team members (PM, Solution Architects, Functional Consultants, Developers, Testers…) • organize and work out detailed workshops for entity and field mappings • produce overview of mapping documents to Functional Consultants • work out data conversion rules and data migration test scenarios • follow up and deliver reports on migration, testing and trial runs, and guarantee quality of the solution • apply your expertise to deliver high quality consulting services to new and existing customers • continuously develop and extend your knowledge within the Utilities market What you bring • strong analytical mind: Master’s degree in Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering or Computer sciences • strong interest in data, working on optimization of processes and Data Modeling • excellent understanding of customers’ business processes • knowledge of SQL server products, ETL tools … • excellent oral and written communications skills in Dutch and English • willing to travel from time to time (frequency depends on the project implementation phase) to the client (EU) • hands-on, dynamic team player with true problem-solving mentality • likes to take initiatives and capable to extract information from key persons (functional & technical consultants and client) • driven by quality, client focused and adapts swiftly to fast-paced and quickly changing environments What we offer A fast-growing and international environment with offices in Ghent, Atlanta and London.
