Job description
Join our client in a key scientific manufacturing support role.
This position supports upstream cell culture activities within biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The role combines technology transfer, process monitoring, lifecycle management, process optimisation and manufacturing support. You will collaborate closely with laboratory teams and manufacturing operations to introduce new processes, improve existing processes and ensure robust GMP compliant production.
Key responsibilities
* Support transfer of new manufacturing processes into GMP production environments.
* Perform process fit gap analyses and prepare manufacturing documentation.
* Define process control strategies, sampling plans and related manufacturing support documents.
* Provide support during clinical batch production activities.
* Contribute to process performance qualification and manufacturing implementation.
* Lead initiatives to improve process yield, robustness and performance.
* Generate scientific data packages supporting process changes and improvements.
* Perform data trending and ongoing monitoring of commercial processes.
* Develop study protocols and reports supporting process changes.
* Support deviation assessments and process or product impact evaluations.
Required competences & skills
* PhD in Life Sciences with at least 3 years relevant experience or Master’s degree with at least 5 years relevant experience.
* Experience in process development or MSAT related roles.
* Hands on experience with mammalian cell culture processes.
* Experience supporting laboratory scale or manufacturing scale operations.
* Fluent written and spoken English.
* Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
* Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
* Strong problem solving skills with a precise and detail oriented approach.
* Experience with statistical analysis and trending tools such as JMP, Statistica, Matlab or Simca is a plus.
* Understanding of GMP requirements and prior GMP experience is a plus.
