🚀 The context of the role
You will be leading the operation and evolution of re-platformed mainframe middleware and batch scheduling services, ensuring service continuity while enabling transformation.
This means working in high-availability, 24x7 environments, coordinating across teams, and making decisions that directly impact business operations.
💡 What you’ll be responsible for
* Owning the technical service for CICS/TX, MQ, CTG and related mainframe services across production and non-production environments
* Leading batch scheduling and operations (Stonebranch UAC), ensuring reliability and operational discipline
* Acting as a key escalation point for critical incidents, coordinating resolution across multiple domains
* Driving service improvements, upgrades and operational standards in highly critical environments
* Leading incident analysis and RCA quality, ensuring continuous improvement
* Supporting the modernization and controlled decommissioning of legacy batch processes
🔎 What we’re looking for
* Solid experience in mainframe middleware and batch operations environments
* Strong knowledge of CICS, MQ, scheduling tools (e.g. Stonebranch), and cross-platform troubleshooting
* Experience working with Linux-based middleware and DB2 LUW interfaces
* Proven background in 24x7 operations and incident management
* Ability to combine technical depth with leadership and coordination skills
* Comfortable working close to application teams and multiple stakeholders
