Function description
As a Quality Engineer will be responsible for their continual improvement, maintenance, and documentation in the quality management. You will support the business stakeholders with the development of quality expertise and continuous improvement.
* Together with the process owners (POL1), you are responsible for the continual improvement, maintenance and documentation of all processes of the Software Unit according to the Corporate Quality Management System (QMS) processes.
* Have and maintain an overview of the process and subprocess landscape. Support in making the QMS known as the "go-to" place for how-to"-questions.
* You help to improve the quality of our operations. You support the POL1 to identify the root cause of quality issues, to work on a plan for improvement and ensure implementation into the business processes (CAPA management)
* You determine quality standards, methods and procedures to ensure that current quality systems are further optimized and, thus, meet requirements that are continuously becoming stricter.
* You are responsible for implementation and maintenance of quality certifications (ISO9x, ISO27x,...) and regulatory requirements (GDPR, sustainability,...) by planning and executing internal audits based on the Materialise internal audit plan and by thorough preparation and active participation in external audits and by pro-actively identifying and analyzing needs regarding quality. You implement quality requirements according to business needs and cost of quality.
* Maintain different external and internal contacts to ensure that efficiency and collaboration are optimized.
* Stay well-informed about the evolutions related to quality and regulatory requirements, keep his/her knowledge up-to-date within the context of new developments in order to strengthen his/her credibility by offering a service that is continuously based on updated knowledge.
* Support the Corporate Management System and implement the related processes in the Software unit

* ISO 9001 deep knowledge – ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 knowledge
* Process knowledge: all processes of the Software unit (engineering – sales – marketing -PMO – customer support…) and other corporate/supporting processes
* Internal audit experience
