WHO MAY APPLY?

EU Nationals and NATO Nationals, excluding the US. Please note that as a non-EU national but NATO National, you might

HOW TO APPLY?

Hauptaufgaben

You will:

• Write and edit press releases, news and feature articles for both internal and external publications.

• Produce written copy for public affairs materials, which can include brochures, briefing slides and flyers.

• Proof written and graphic arts materials produced in the office to assure accuracy, spelling, grammar and style.

• Research, collect, analyze, select and combine information from a variety of sources to develop coherent articles, news
releases and public affairs materials in support of the organization's mission and goals.

• Take news and feature digital and regular film photographs for external publication and internal use.

• Assist in the maintenance of the organization's public website by contributing content and helping ensure all
regulations and policies are met.

• Support the community relations program with simple event planning and execution, to include administrative work.

• Produce both simple and strategic videos that tell the garrison story.


Qualifikationsanforderungen

At the BA-09:

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of experience in the same or a similar line of work as the job for which
considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the knowledge, skills and abilities required for
the position, as described in the KSA's section. To be creditable, experience must have been equivalent to at least the next
lower grade level (BA-07).

Substitution of Education:

A Master degree (or equivalent) successfully completed in a related field (e.g. Journalisme, Communication
Institutionnelle et Politique, etc. ) is qualifying at the BA-09 level.

Foreign education must be evaluated for Belgian equivalency.

KSA's:

- Knowledge of communication principles, methods, and techniques to gather information and develop materials (press
releases, articles) for diverse audiences.

- Skill in effectively interacting and dealing with a variety of publics including news media representatives, local
government officials, etc.

- Knowledge and skill in using the Web, social media, still and video camera.

Travel for business may be required up to 10-15%

ORGANIZATION AND PLACE OF DUTY:

US Army in Belgium is an American government agency whose mission is to provide logistical and administrative support to
the US personnel at NATO and SHAPE in Belgium.

DESCRIPTION OF THE OFFER:

• Permanent, full-time (38 hours/week)
• Regular work schedule (Monday through Friday)
• Salary:
• From € 4,923.53 gross/month at BA-09

The Civilian Human Resources Service Center (CHRSC) will review each application and will refer candidates to the
management official who will make the final selection. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for position without
regard to political, religious, or labor organization affiliation or non-affiliation, marital status, race, color, sex, national origin,
nondisqualifying physical disability, or age.

The SELECTEE:

•Will have to provide an extract of criminal record: " Modele 1". This document may be requested to the local resident
registration office.
•Will pass a medical evaluation.
•Must successfully complete and maintain background checks.
