Key Responsibilities
As a Cat Pricing Intern, you will:
1. Support catastrophe pricing analyses, especially during renewal periods
2. Assist in the pricing of catastrophe-exposed reinsurance treaties
3. Run and interpret catastrophe models (e.g., vendor models such as RMS, AIR, or similar)
4. Perform data extraction, validation, and portfolio preparation for modelling
5. Analyze catastrophe exposure data and contribute to risk assessments
6. Support internal reporting and contribute to market and industry analyses
7. Collaborate closely with cat pricing actuaries, underwriters, and risk teams

Your profile
Education
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in:
8. Actuarial Science
9. Statistics
10. Mathematics
11. Engineering
12. Quantitative Finance (or similar)
Technical Skills
13. Strong quantitative and analytical skills
14. Good command of Excel; experience with Python, R, or SQL is a strong plus
15. Interest in catastrophe modelling and reinsurance pricing
16. Familiarity with catastrophe models or geospatial data is an advantage
Soft Skills
17. Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
18. Stress-resistant and comfortable working with tight deadlines
19. Clear and structured communication skills
20. Proactive mindset and strong willingness to learn
Languages
21. Fluent English required
22. Any additional language is considered a plus
Additional Plus
23. Basic understanding of catastrophe risk (e.g., natural hazards, exposure metrics)
24. Prior exposure to reinsurance or catastrophe modelling
