WHO MAY APPLY?

Hauptaufgaben


As a Supply Technician, you will:

-Perform various supplies and material handling duties including receipt, control and warehousing of hazardous materials.
-Monitor Hazardous Waste (HAZWASTE) generated by units/activities in Site Zutendaal.
-Ensure all accounting documents are accurate and comply with existing supply guidelines.
-Conduct inventory and technical inspections of warehouses and supply equipment.
-Operate electric, gasoline, or diesel powered 2,000 to 6,000 pound fork lift trucks, capable of lifting loads weighing 10,000 pounds or more higher than 68 inches.
-Oversee the distribution of petroleum, oil and lubricant (POL) products across Site Zutendaal.
-Ensure that safety procedures are observed at all times.
-Process transactions and utilizes various automated system to accomplish his/her mission.


Qualifikationsanforderungen


PROFILE

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of experience in the same line of work. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position, as described in the last section of this announcement.
To be creditable, experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (BA-05).

Substitution of Education :
Education level III (Bachelor or equivalent) in a related field (Logistics or Supply) may be substituted for experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

-Knowledge of the overall warehousing plan and accepted warehousing methods, procedures and techniques for the handling, receiving, disposal and storage.
-Knowledge of supply regulations and procedures of the handling, storing and shipping specific to the hazardous substances.
-Ability to conduct inventories and maintain inventory control records.

DRIVING LICENSE:

B Required.
ADR-Driving License-Colli is desirable.
Forklift license is desirable.

ORGANIZATION AND PLACE OF DUTY

US Army in Belgium is an American government agency whose mission is to provide logistical and administrative support to the US personnel at NATO and SHAPE in Belgium.

This vacancy is at the 405th Army Field Support Brigade, Zutendaal, Belgium. The 405th AFSB is the headquarters of the US Army Materiel Command in Europe, responsible for all logistics, acquisition and technology activities in the European theater.

DESCRIPTION OF THE OFFER

•Permanent, full-time (38 hours/week)
•Regular work schedule (Monday through Friday)
•Salary: From 3,741.34 EUR gross/month

The Civilian Human Resources Service Center (CHRSC) will review each application and will refer candidates to the management official who will make the final selection. The SELECTEE will:

•Provide an extract of criminal record: "Modele 1". This document may be requested to the local resident registration office.
•Be subject to a Foreign National Screening administrated by the SHAPE Belgian Police.
•Pass an English test and a medical evaluation.
