The Role
We are seeking a Business Developer (M/F/X) to join a dynamic sales team in Belgium.
As a Business Developer, you will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, engaging with prospective clients, and promoting innovation funding and tax optimization solutions. You will manage the entire sales cycle while building long-term relationships with organizations ranging from SMEs to multinational corporations.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain targeted prospect lists to support business development initiatives.
* Identify and engage potential clients across various sectors, including manufacturing, aerospace, information technology, agri-food, healthcare, higher education, and research institutions.
* Promote innovation-related tax incentives, grants, and funding opportunities.
* Analyze prospective clients’ innovation and R&D projects to identify optimization opportunities and propose tailored solutions.
* Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and contract signing.
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships through networking, referrals, email campaigns, LinkedIn, and other business development channels.
* Collaborate closely with internal experts to deliver value-added solutions to clients.
* Stay informed about major innovation, research, and development initiatives in Belgium and across Europe.
* Contribute to the company's growth strategy through proactive market engagement and business intelligence.
Candidate Profile
Education
* Master's degree (or currently completing one) in Business Administration, Applied Economics, Business Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
* Several years of professional experience in business development, sales, consulting, account management, or a client-facing commercial role.
* Proven ability to identify opportunities, manage stakeholder relationships, and achieve commercial objectives.
Skills & Competencies
* Fluent in Dutch or French, with a good command of the second national language and English.
* Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
