The Role
We're looking for a
CTO & Technical Co-Founder
to lead the development of SplitStay's platform and turn our MVP into a scalable, seamless travel experience. You'll take ownership of the technology vision, architecture, and execution — from product roadmap to integrations with booking APIs (e.g., Stay22, or Stripe).
You'll work closely with our founder (business & growth) and early advisors to build a product travelers love — and investors can rally behind.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and execute the
technical roadmap
for SplitStay's marketplace platform.
* Lead the
architecture, development, and scaling
of our MVP (currently built with Replit + Supabase).
* Integrate with external APIs for booking, payments, and accommodation data.
* Establish development workflows and select the right stack for long-term scalability (e.g. Flutter, React, Node, Firebase/Supabase).
* Recruit and guide early technical contributors or freelancers.
* Collaborate with the founder on product, UX, and feature prioritization.
* Ensure data security, stability, and platform performance.
* Support funding efforts by translating tech strategy into investor-friendly language.
Ideal Profile
* Full-stack or backend engineer with startup experience.
* Strong in
web or mobile app development
, ideally with
Supabase, Firebase, or Flutter
.
* Experience integrating
APIs, marketplaces, or travel data sources
.
* Entrepreneurial mindset — you're not just coding, you're
building a company
.
* A balance of
visionary thinking
and hands-on execution.
* Bonus: experience with booking systems, payments, or travel tech platforms.
