Description du poste Overall Purpose of the Role The BESIX Group QHSE Director is responsible for defining, driving, and supporting the overarching Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) strategy, governance, and processes across all Business Lines of BESIX Group. The role is primarily focused on Health & Safety, reflecting the Group’s risk profile, with a specific emphasis on Business Line Construction and Affiliates. The role ensures that QHSE is positioned as a core business enabler, supporting operational excellence, risk management, and sustainable growth across all Business Lines, with a primary operational focus on Business Units and other Group entities. The position reports to the COO of BESIX Construction. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Governance Define and drive the Group-wide QHSE vision, strategy, and priorities aligned with the business objectives and ensure clear delineation between Group level & Operational level (execution, ownership within Business Units). Foster strong internal stakeholder alignment across Business Lines, Business Units and operational teams to drive alignment. Act as a dynamic and inspiring leader and promote a high-performance QHSE culture. Represent BESIX externally towards clients, partners, subcontractors, public authorities, regulatory and certification bodies on QHSE matters. Organisation & Team Management Lead and manage the Group HQ QHSE team and provide functional guidance and coaching (dotted line) to QHSE managers in Business Line Construction and Business Line Affiliates. Define and manage the Group QHSE budget. Strengthen competencies through structured training, leadership development and knowledge sharing. Scope of Responsibilities 1. Health & Safety (≈50%) – BL Construction & BL Regional and Specialised Contractors Strategy Define, maintain and promote Group-wide H&S programmes, key H&S processes, standards and governance. Establish and oversee KPI frameworks and data management and ensure compliance with international standards and regulatory changes. Act as Business Owner for H&S digital tools and platforms (e.g. OASIS). Training Define and develop Group-level H&S training programmes in collaboration with Business and People Department. Ensure effective rollout via internal and/or external providers and maintain competency developments with People Department. Operations Ensure robust Root Cause Analyses for all incidents requiring crisis notification and support pro-active risk identification and mitigation across projects and tenders. Coordination with Regional and Specialised Contractors QHSE & Management Teams. Ensure monthly reporting. 2. Quality (≈20%) – BL Construction & BL Regional and Specialised Contractors Strategy Define and promote Group-wide Quality programmes, framework and continuous improvement. culture and support Business Units in defining core Quality processes. Act as Business Owner for Quality-related digital and data tools. Operations Ensure Root Cause Analyses for major quality incidents and report Quality performance and crisis notifications to OPCO. Develop and deploy with the BU corporate Quality training programmes. 3. Environment (≈15%) – BL Construction & BL Regional and Specialised Contractors Strategy Support Business Lines in defining core environmental processes. Act as Business Owner for environmental data and reporting tools. Operations Support mitigation of serious environmental incidents or breaches. Coordination with Regional and Specialised Contractors QHSE & Management Teams. Ensure Root Cause Analyses for environmental incidents and report on environmental performance. 4. Integrated Management System (≈15%) – BL Construction Strategy Define and drive the strategy for the Integrated Management System (IMS – Blue Sky / Terra) in collaboration with OPCO and project leadership. Operations Support implementation of IMS across the organisation. Support audit processes to maintain certifications and licence to operate. Support trainings in coordination with the People Department
