Job description Key Responsibilities Onboarding & Training - Complete all onboarding requirements related to systems, operations, and safety procedures. - Develop a strong foundation in R&D core skills and laboratory best practices. - Become proficient in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and established testing methods relevant to packaging development. - Learn to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and utilize available technical resources. - Develop proficiency in company systems, methods, and equipment associated with the role. Daily Responsibilities - Conduct hands-on laboratory testing and experimental work as directed by the manager or technical coach. - Execute established test procedures and generate reliable, reproducible results to support project objectives. - Accurately document, compile, and summarize experimental data and observations. - Maintain complete and traceable records of test inputs, methodologies, and results. - Communicate findings, unexpected observations, and recommendations to technical team members and project stakeholders. - Support packaging development activities by creating and maintaining technical drawings and documentation. - Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with quality assurance principles, laboratory standards, and safety requirements. - Utilize digital tools and systems to manage data, technical specifications, and project documentation. Profiel Must-Have Skills & Experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Packaging Technology, Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field. - Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). - Experience performing laboratory tests, analyzing results, and accurately documenting findings. - Basic proficiency in 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools for creating technical drawings and packaging layouts. - Strong skills in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). - Ability and willingness to learn Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and technical documentation systems. - Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to data collection and reporting. - Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. Nice-to-Have Skills - Knowledge of packaging materials and technologies, including: PET and HDPE bottles ; Paper and corrugated packaging ; Polymer resins; Packaging manufacturing and conversion processes - Previous experience in packaging development, testing, or validation environments.
