JOB PURPOSE:
The research assistant will help the HUTRC team with traffic data collection, analysis as well as reporting duties.
SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:
Dr. Nadir Yilmaz (PI and Center Director), Timesheets submitted to Richa Lamsal
NATURE AND SCOPE:
The research assistant will perform traffic data collection, traffic and crash data analysis as well as report writing for a District Department of Transportation grant (GRT ). The research assistant will assist the project lead with timely submissions of deliverables to the sponsor.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Perform traffic safety investigations
2. Perform traffic and crash data analysis
3. Prepare written reports of findings
4. Conduct research in the field of traffic and transportation (as needed)
Core Competencies
Background in engineering.
Minimum Requirements
Familiarity and working knowledge of Microsoft Suite application. Experience in traffic data collection and analysis
Compliance Salary Range Disclosure
$30 per hour
