Role Overview
As a Talent Development Expert (Auditor), you will play a key role in assessing the quality and effectiveness of football talent development systems across professional clubs, academies, leagues, and federations worldwide.
This is a hands-on role for experienced football professionals who combine deep expertise in coaching, academy management, and talent development with strong analytical and communication skills. You will work independently while representing Double Pass on international projects, conducting audits, engaging with key stakeholders, and translating your observations into clear recommendations that support long-term development and performance.
You will spend your time preparing and analysing club information, conducting onsite visits, observing training sessions and matches, interviewing stakeholders, and producing high-quality reports that help organisations improve their talent development environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Audit Preparation & Analysis
* Review and analyse club, academy, or federation documentation prior to onsite visits.
* Assess organisational structures, management processes, talent development systems, and performance environments.
* Prepare audit plans, interview schedules, and key focus areas for onsite assessments.
* Evaluate information against Double Pass methodology and international best practices.
2. Onsite Auditing & Stakeholder Engagement
* Conduct onsite audits at professional clubs, academies, leagues, and federations around the world.
* Interview key stakeholders including executives, technical directors, academy managers, coaches, support staff, players, and parents.
* Observe training sessions, games, and football operations to assess the practical implementation of talent development processes.
* Verify information collected through documentation, interviews, and direct observation.
3. Reporting & Feedback
* Produce structured audit reports that identify strengths, risks, and areas for improvement.
* Translate complex observations into clear findings and practical recommendations.
* Present audit outcomes to senior leadership and technical stakeholders.
* Facilitate feedback sessions and support organisations in understanding key priorities for future development.
4. Methodology & Quality Assurance
* Apply Double Pass methodology consistently across projects and countries.
* Contribute insights and feedback that support the continuous improvement of our audit framework.
* Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in football talent development and academy management.
* Support knowledge sharing within the global Double Pass expert network.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Sports Science, Business Management, or a related field.
* UEFA B coaching license or higher.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in professional football coaching, academy management, technical leadership, or talent development.
* Strong understanding of professional football environments, academy structures, coaching methodologies, and organisational management.
* Demonstrated expertise in talent identification and talent development processes.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate complex football environments objectively.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently, professionally, and with a high degree of integrity.
* Strong organisational skills and a structured approach to planning, documentation, and reporting.
* Excellent command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
* Willingness to travel internationally and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
