To support our continued growth, we are looking for a driven and forward-thinking HR Director to lead and optimize logistics activities on one of our strategic sites.

The HR Director reports directly to the CEO and acts as a strategic business partner to the Executive Team. He/she is responsible for defining and implementing the people strategy in support of the company's growth, transformation and operational excellence objectives. The HR Director leads organisational change, develops leadership capabilities, manages employee and labour relations, and ensures compliance with labour legislation. In close collaboration with operational management and employee representatives, he/she fosters a high-performance culture, drives continuous improvement and ensures the organisation attracts, develops and retains the talent required for sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

* Lead the HR transformation of a multi-site logistics organisation to support rapid growth, operational excellence and long-term scalability.
* Design and implement strategic HR projects (performance management, talent development, training and career management) in order to strengthen organisational capabilities and support business objectives.
* Drive the digitalisation of HR by implementing HRIS solutions in order to increase operational efficiency, improve employee and manager experience & automate administrative processes
* Partner with executive leadership to drive organisational change and align people practices with the company's growth strategy.
* Develop leadership and management capabilities across operational teams in order to improve performance, accountability and employee engagement.
* Lead complex industrial and organisational change initiatives in collaboration with employee representatives and trade unions to ensure business continuity and workforce commitment.
* Act as the company's lead representative in Works Councils, Health & Safety Committees and trade union negotiations, fostering constructive social dialogue and win-win solutions.
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives and HR KPI management (absenteeism, turnover,...) in order to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
* Support operational managers in performance management and people leadership to build stronger teams and improve business results.
* Structure recruitment processes across all employee populations to attract, develop and retain the talent required for business growth.
* Ensure full compliance with labour legislation, quality standards and corporate governance requirements in order to mitigate risk and support sustainable growth.

Qualifications

* Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience, with at least 10 years of experience in a HR leadership role.
* Strong business acumen and the ability to align HR initiatives with organisational strategy and objectives.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, develop and motivate teams.
* High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives, employees, employee representatives and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated experience in employee relations and trade union negotiations within a complex organisational environment.
* Strong assertiveness, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
* Proven ability to lead organisational change and successfully drive stakeholder engagement and adoption.
* Ability to coach, inspire and influence leaders and teams at all levels of the organisation.
* Solid knowledge of Belgian labour law, social legislation and HR best practices.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using HR metrics to support decision-making.
* Proficiency with HR information systems and standard business software applications.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Fluent in French, Dutch and English
* Willingness to travel regularly between company sites and maintain a strong presence within operations.
* Positive attitude, resilience and a healthy sense of humour, with the ability to maintain perspective and foster constructive relationships.
