About the Role

The Human Resources Generalist at Vonco Products LLC plays a vital role in supporting our organizational goals by managing comprehensive HR functions across our manufacturing sites. This position is responsible for fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring legal compliance, and providing strategic HR support to both associates and leadership. Under the guidance of the HR Director, the HR Generalist leads recruitment efforts, employee development initiatives, labor relations, and policy implementation. The role requires a proactive approach to employee engagement, a thorough understanding of employment laws, and excellent communication skills to serve as a trusted resource for all HR‑related matters.


Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 3‑5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Deep knowledge of labor laws, employment equity regulations, and compliance standards.
* Strong administrative skills with proficiency in HRIS systems, MS Office, and related HR software.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
* Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, and conflict management abilities.
* Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.


Responsibilities

* Ensure the organization’s culture and working environment align with the established Cultural Operating Principles, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR inquiries, providing guidance and support to associates and management.
* Manage bi‑weekly payroll processing, reconciliation, and act as payroll backup when necessary.
* Attract, develop, recognize, and retain talent to meet the company’s operational needs, including leading full‑cycle recruitment efforts.
* Support the rollout of employee engagement initiatives such as culture surveys, analyzing results, and implementing improvement actions.
* Partner with site leaders to utilize available tools for performance enhancement and employee development.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to managers and supervisors on people management and development issues.
* Coordinate onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring completion of paperwork and administrative setup.
* Build and maintain open communication channels with associates and management, fostering a transparent and collaborative environment.
* Conduct investigations, provide coaching, and document findings to address workplace issues effectively.
* Ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations and company policies.
* Maintain accurate training records and coordinate ongoing staff development programs, including OSHA safety training.
* Lead benefit orientation sessions, open enrollment activities, and administer various employee benefit programs such as health, dental, life insurance, and pension plans.
* Oversee performance review processes to ensure fairness, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals.
* Conduct wage surveys and labor market analysis to maintain competitive compensation practices and support government reporting requirements.
* Manage employee separation procedures, including exit interviews and documentation.
* Prepare reports on HR activities, workforce metrics, and compliance status for management review.
* Participate actively as a member of the HR team, contributing to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
