Qualifications
* Secondary school completion or proof of formal education or relevant craft certificate (where applicable).
* Graduate of trade school or university with applicable knowledge and training.
* Preferred: successful military discharge (U.S. or Norway).
* Must hold qualifications in accordance with relevant authority requirements and the requirements of the Havtil ref. Activities Regulations.
* Minimum participation in education as per NOG024 for Operator level.

* Call a TimeOut when a real or perceived at‑risk behavior or unsafe condition is observed.

Duties
The underlying expectation is that all duties are carried out in compliance with the Company Operational Discipline expectations and HSE requirements. The Supervisor and the Roustabout will apply the Control of Work process to determine if the assigned role is appropriate.
General Duties
* Housekeeping, cleaning, tidying and correct disposal of trash.
* Surface preparation and painting.
* Assisting in preventative and corrective maintenance of rig equipment.
* Manually move equipment, tools and materials around the installation using manual lifting aids and working ‘HandsFree’ whenever physically possible.
* Assisted by the Supervisor and temporary across other department supervisors as needed.
Lifting Operations
* Inspect cargo for potential dropped objects.
* Inspect lifting slings and shackles.
* Inspect cargo containers and contents to verify adequate securing.
* Store lifting and rigging equipment correctly when not in use.
* Identify, report and dispose of damaged lifting equipment.
* Use Hands‑Free Tools to control the load.
* Knowledge and awareness of hazards associated with proximity to danger and suspended loads.
* Understand and comply with the requirements for safe step‑back areas.
* When competent, act as banksman for crane operations, using the company approved hand signals or radios following correct communication protocol.
* When competent, operate air hoists, chain hoists and other lifting devices.
