Corporate Counsel, Payments & Privacy, Brazil International Stores
Are you looking for a new challenge in a fast‑paced, innovative company? Come make history with Amazon Brazil legal department. We are looking for a talented attorney to support primarily our rapidly growing and evolving Payment businesses in Brazil. This professional will also be the point of contact for Privacy related matters in‑country. You will serve as the primary attorney responsible for counseling the business on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters, structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions. You will work directly with the business, serving as lead counsel on strategic deals, providing day‑to‑day advice, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships.
A successful candidate will have a strong transactional background and be hard‑working, proactive, entrepreneurial and able to apply sound, pragmatic judgment in ambiguous situations. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required.
Basic Qualifications
* 5+ years of legal experience
* Experience in Payments segment
* Experience in Privacy
* J.D. and membership in good standing in a Brazilian state bar
* Fluency in Portuguese and English with strong written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
* Ability to work independently while contributing successfully to cross‑functional teams
* Strong analytical skills
* In‑house experience is a plus
