Join the Safety & Compliance team at Sabena Engineering to supervise all safety and compliance matters across our civil aviation operational departments.
Main Responsibilities
Support the compliance/safety management system activities, including hazard identification and risk assessments.
Perform compliance/safety audits and issue associated reports, including monitoring the implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
Act as the quality/safety point of contact for customers, internal departments and authorities (BCAA and foreign authorities), handling day‑to‑day operations and external audits/visits at all Sabena Engineering sites.
Process external and internal occurrence reports.
Perform internal safety investigations to derive safety recommendations for operational departments and follow up with production.
Prepare training material and deliver training related to compliance and safety procedures.
Monitor and assess regulatory changes and inform stakeholders.
Support the maintenance of approved manuals, develop/review quality/safety procedures, recommendations and solutions in close cooperation with involved department representatives.
Manage the publication of company‑approved documentation.
Follow up on assigned compliance/safety KPIs.
Participate in projects such as continuous improvement and regulatory scope extensions.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in civil or industrial engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the aviation industry, preferably in a compliance or safety environment.
Knowledge of aviation regulations, specifically for a PART 145 environment.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and administrative skills.
Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to maintain independence and objectivity.
Process‑ and improvement‑oriented mindset.
Dynamic, flexible attitude; passionate about aviation and eager to learn and grow.
Fluency in English and French or Dutch with excellent communication skills.
