Your missionAs Head of HR Benelux, you are a strategic business partner and a trusted advisor to the leadership teams. You oversee the entire HR agenda for Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, ensuring that the HR function directly contributes to the company’s growth, transformation and sustainable performance.
Through your HR team and HR Business Partners, you translate business priorities into high value-added HR initiatives, enabling managers and employees to fully develop their potential in a fast-growing retail environment.
You combine strategic vision with operational pragmatism in order to build a high-performing, agile HR function capable of supporting the Group’s development ambitions.
While maintaining strong autonomy in defining and executing the HR strategy for the Benelux, you actively contribute to building a shared People vision at European level. You work closely with your counterparts in other countries to foster consistency of practices, sharing of expertise and the emergence of a unified HR culture within the Group.
Your responsibilities
Driving the Benelux People strategy
Define and drive the Benelux People strategy in line with the Group’s growth, transformation and performance ambitions.
Act as a strategic partner to leadership teams by translating business priorities into high value-added HR initiatives.
Develop an HR Business Partner function, close to the field, recognised as a true lever of performance, engagement and value creation for Medi-Market.
Strengthen organisational, managerial capabilities and key skills required for the success of Benelux ambitions.
Support changes, transformation projects and workforce planning reflections in order to ensure sustainable organisational growth.
Anticipate human challenges linked to strategic decisions and implement actions fostering buy-in, engagement and team performance.
Work closely with HR managers from other countries, particularly Italy and Spain, in order to progressively build consistent HR practices, standards and policies at European level, while taking local specificities into account.
Leadership & HR function development
Develop and evolve HRBP, Talent, Recruitment and HSE teams in order to strengthen their impact on the business and their contribution to the Group People strategy.
Act as coach and facilitator for HR teams in order to strengthen their capabilities in business partnering, talent development and organisational effectiveness.
Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement within the HR function.
Developing talents and future leaders
Deploy the Benelux Talent strategy and work on its Group development in order to attract, develop and retain key talents.
Work on the development of Talent Review, Succession Planning, Performance Management and Leadership Development processes.
Support managers in identifying and developing high-potential talents.
Strengthening Group attractiveness
Lead the Benelux Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding strategy.
Develop initiatives enabling the attraction of talents required for the company’s growth.
Strengthen the employer value proposition to support the Group’s development ambitions.
Ensuring a sustainable social climate
Lead social relations within the Benelux scope.
Maintain constructive dialogue with social partners.
Advise leadership teams on social legislation and collective relations issues.
Support transformations while respecting social and human balance.
Health, Safety, Environment & Well-being
Oversee HSE policy and well-being initiatives.

The HR function plays a key role in supporting Medi-Market’s growth and transformation across Europe.
As Head of HR Benelux, you will be part of the Group HR leadership community and collaborate closely with HR leaders in other countries (notably Italy and Spain) to ensure consistency of HR practices while adapting to local specificities.
You will lead the HR organization across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, managing HR Business Partners and HR specialists (Talent, Recruitment, HSE), and acting as a strategic partner to the Benelux leadership teams.
Profile/Profiel
Fluent in Dutch, French, and English
Minimum 15 years of generalist HR experience
Proven experience as Senior HR Business Partner, Head of HR, or HR Director in a fast-paced, growing environment
Experience in a multi-site and international organization; HR development experience in the Netherlands is a strong plus
Ability to combine strategic vision with operational excellence
Excellent knowledge of Belgian labor law and industrial relations
Experience in organizational transformation and change management
Strong background in HR team development and organizational change leadership
