For the department EMS (European Maintenance Support),in the Powertrain Operations team that reports directly to the head of the department, Jean-Louis Farvacque, we are currently looking for Field Technician Turbines (M/F/X)
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Field Technician Turbines
* Maintenance Operations: Perform mechanical maintenance, inspection, and repair on gas and steam turbines, as well as generators when required, in industrial environments (CCGT, nuclear, CHP,…).
* Project Preparation: Support pre-outage preparation by reviewing technical drawings, P&IDs, and procedures. Ensure tools and equipment readiness and compliance.
* Project Execution: Carry out disassembly, dimensional checks, inspections and reassembly of critical components (rotors, casings, bearings, seals, hydraulic systems,..) in compliance with quality and safety standards.
* Flexible Roles: Depending on the assignment, take on responsibilities as a field technician or supervisor. You work across multiple product lines (GT/ST/GEN) and contribute to cross-technology projects as required.
* Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Document measurements and observations, contribute to final reports and Lessons Learned (REX), and suggest process improvements to optimize methods and reduce downtime.
* Problem Solving & Safety: Strictly follow EHS rules, work permits, and specific procedures. Participate in safety briefings and reporting.
YOUR PROFILE as Field Technician Turbines
* You are mechanically skilled (A2/bachelor/graduate electromechanics).
* Experience in maintenance of turbines, aircraft engines, derivative gas turbines, wind turbines or large rotating equipment is a plus.
* You are fluent in English and willing to obtain medio level (B2). You are fluent in French or Dutch.
* You are flexible in terms of working hours and workplace. You see varying hourly schedules (day, shifts, weekends) as 'part of the job'. You are willing to perform work at our various sites in Belgium and abroad (mainly France and the Netherlands, max. 30%).
* Your sense of ownership ensures that you don't cut corners and remain involved in a project until its completion.
